Alqosh Elementary School for Girls achieves Outstanding
Once again Alqosh Elementary School for Girls stands tall on the top
of the pyramid after achieving 100% pass in the final general public
exams (becheloria). This achievement is not new for Alqosh School, which
is the same unchanged since the early seventies as any mathematical
constant ratio except for seldom instances! This school is ranked within
the distinguished schools of Nineveh province and owns a professional
teaching staff that deals with students professionally with passion,
open hearts and balanced discipline.
Ms. Regina Pola, the principal, assured Ankawa.com that the school
has achieved this percentage after all the (63) girls of sixth grade
passed the general public exam (becheloria) for the year (2005-2006)
and achieved high grades as well despite the changes made to the style
of questions for some subjects. Ms. Pola mentioned that the student
Catherine Gergis Israel ranked the first by achieving 98.8% surpassing
all her school mates and the second was student Hind Kamil who scored
98.2%
The principal, Ms. Pola, praised the role of the teaching staff and
thanked them for their usual outstanding role and for achieving these
honoring results despite the all difficulties facing them especially
those related to the school building being rented from the al-Sayeda
Monastery that was built hundreds of years ago.
Does such outstanding school with such magnificent history be confined
to such fortress?
